If you are in search of God or as a believer you feel something is missing or maybe there has been this void in your life that seems nothing else can fill,I think this is it.
Joyce Meyer said — “I finally asked God to give me whatever it is I was missing,I wanted more of Him in my life in response to my desires and request, even though I didn’t know what it was I was seeking,God gave me the answer and I learnt that growing in the knowledge of who God is and seeking intimate fellowship with Him is a vital necessity of enjoying His purpose for our lives.”
Then he brought me back to the door of the temple; and there was water, flowing from under the threshold of the temple toward the east, for the front of the temple faced east; the water was flowing from under the right side of the temple, south of the altar. He brought me out by way of the north gate, and led me around on the outside to the outer gateway that faces east; and there was water, running out on the right side. And when the man went out to the east with the line in his hand, he measured one thousand cubits, and he brought me through the waters; the water came up to my ankles. Again he measured one thousand and brought me through the waters; the water came up to my knees. Again he measured one thousand and brought me through; the water came up to mywaist. Ezekiel 47:1-4
This scripture is talking about level of intimacy and fellowship with God,some of us don’t have intimate time with God,some spend little time with Him but what we don’t know is the more time you spend with God,the deeper you go with Him( I call it love affair).
True lovers don’t talk only five minutes and walk away, the language of love is quality time, they stay more than planned no matter how disciplined.Any relationship that does not enjoy quality time is fake. If both parties are interested in each other, they will still stay and talk about the moon (lol) because it’s never about the discussion,it’s enjoying each other’s presence.
In verse 1 of Ezekiel 47, we see a love affair without any form of depth. In verse two, depth of waters —- that’s a weak relationship pretending all is well. Verse 3 shows us that even in depth there are depth and if there are depth, there can be deeper depth. In verse 4, we grow in intimacy meaning that our walk with God can actually increase from where it is right now to somewhere envious, so…… intimacy grows.
Again he measured one thousand, and it was a river that I could not cross; for the water was too deep, water in which one must swim, a river that could not be crossed. Ezekiel 47:5
This level of intimacy is called deep waters, the fellowship is deep, consistent and without limits. They’ve grown to the stage they have no limitations or distraction.
You have such intimacy with God through worship, study and prayers. You plan to spend 3 hours with Him today but you are exceeding without even knowing.
As you make spending quality time with the Holy Spirit a habitual lifestyle, you become deep waters yourself, you notice you inhabit the indwelling presence of God.
You are God’s masterpiece!
