FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT

Philippians 1:10-11
[10]that you may approve the things that are excellent, that you may be sincere and without offense till the day of Christ,
[11]being filled with the fruits of righteousness which are by Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God. Christ Is Preached

A true righteous person will display certain characters and attributes that conform to the nature of God inside of him.

According to Gal 5:22-23, the fruit of the Spirit is the only law God desire for us to keep.

Galatians 5:22-23
[22]But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
[23]gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.

The law of the Spirit is the Holy Spirit working in us and we are suppose to align with the Holy Spirit to enable Him live through us – to display His character through our lives.

Walking in the Spirit is meant to be an expression and not just a mere instruction. It is natural as believers to walk in the Spirit because that is our reality. The result of receiving the Holy Spirit is that we express love and as well walk in it.

If you can love the way God loves all men, you have conquered all men. Abiding in love (being full of love), you can manifest joy at all times, peace, patience and the rest of the fruit of the Spirit mentioned in Galatians chapter 5.

John 5:4-5
[4]For an angel went down at a certain time into the pool and stirred up the water; then whoever stepped in first, after the stirring of the water, was made well of whatever disease he had.
[5]Now a certain man was there who had an infirmity thirty-eight years.

It is given to us to bear the fruits of righteousness because we are the branches and we are connected to the Vine which is Jesus in us. Technically, this is what any branch of a tree does – to display the fruits of the vine (tree) to which they are connected.

The result of a Christian living is the demonstration of the fruit of the Spirit. The fruits of righteousness is as a result of the seed of grace that was planted in us when we became born again. Without the work of Christ on the cross, this seed will not be planted.

The ability to do good was never in us but this seed of God in us enables us to come into alignment with Him.

Romans 3:10-18
[10]As it is written: “There is none righteous, no, not one;
[11]There is none who understands; There is none who seeks after God.
[12]They have all turned aside; They have together become unprofitable; There is none who does good, no, not one.”
[13]“Their throat is an open tomb; With their tongues they have practiced deceit”; “The poison of asps is under their lips”;
[14]“Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness.”
[15]“Their feet are swift to shed blood;
[16]Destruction and misery are in their ways;
[17]And the way of peace they have not known.”
[18]“There is no fear of God before their eyes.”

This was who we were before Christ came to save us. Now we carry His seed in us as a gift, called to share in His glory.

As believers, we don’t just talk Christ but show Christ through our conduct. If our salvation is real, then the fruit of righteousness should be evident in our lives.

You are unstoppable!

Love X Uju.
